We assist with notarising the certification of your educational documents by a UK solicitor registered with the UK Legalisation Office to obtain legalisation by way of Hague apostille for international use.
We need to receive your original education qualification to have your documents legalised.
The legalisation process can be performed on an original or copy of your qualification. There is no difference in the process or the cost, in both options the qualifications must be first certified by a UK solicitor who is registered with the legalisation department of the Legalisation Office the FCDO. Once certification is completed an original or certified copy apostille certificate will be issued based on the solicitor’s signature.

If you already have the document certified by a UK solicitor or Notary Public please note that not every solicitor is on the Foreign Office database. If the document will be rejected due to missing signature with the FCDO database please ask your solicitor to contact the FCDO registration team via email or provide our contact details
The solicitor’s registration process should take no longer than 3 working days to complete.

Do I have to legalise my Educational document or apostille is the only requirement?
If you are planning to teach English abroad in a country that is not party to the Hague Convention Abolishing Foreign Documents Legalization, consular attestation is a must. The document legalisation process depends on whether the educational certificate is a UK document or is issued by other country. No matter if the legalisation document requires an apostille certificate or not, e apostille is not sufficient for educational documents.
Is certification as a true copy of an original qualification acceptable by the Foreign Office FCDO?
From a legalisation perspective, there is no difference if the certificate qualification will be certified as an original, true copy verified by the Notary Public. FCDO will legalise the certificate and issue an apostille stamp. Documents issued in other jurisdiction require further legalisation.
Do I have to visit your Westminster office to apostille my qualification certificate?
You can deliver your documents in person to our London office or send them by registered mail or international courier. You can apply for document legalisation online. An Apostille certificate can only be issued with our apostille services on a next day basis.
Can all qualification certificates types be apostilled?
All types of certificates including TEFL, CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, EFL, ELT, ESL, Trinity CertTESOL, and others awarded by UK accreditation qualify for an apostille with our next day apostille services. Document legalised abroad cannot be re-apostilled in the UK. Only UK documents can be legalised as a rule of the UK government. Many countries cannot legalise other documents, our apostille services can only be provided to documents within UK authority.
Can online TEFL qualification certificates be legalised?
We can obtain a Hague apostille for some online-only TEFL certificates. The UK Foreign Office accepts online-only TEFL certificates that have been issued by providers that are regulated by the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). We can process most documents within the next day service with an official certificate issued.
Will Legalizing my TEFL certificate be sufficient for my work visa application?
The requesting party might require a Criminal Record Check along with your teaching qualification especially when teaching children under 18 years old. They might also require your Birth or Marriage Certificate to be attested. Documents legalised by the UK government by way of apostille or e apostille are recogised by the Hague countries members.
Would a solicitor certify my degree as a true copy could also verify it?
We provide verification service through our Notary Public who is responsible for the verification process of the degrees. The Notary contacts the University to complete the verification process. All UK documents can be certified by a solicitor or Notary to apply for an apostille.
Why do I need to apostille my Bachelor’s degree?
In many jurisdictions apostille and legalisation of your degree are required in the HR recruitment process or working visa application. The apostille confirms that your degree has been issued by UK accredited educational Institution. Not all Universities have accreditations especially those that have established limited companies at Companies House recently and provide an “online degree” option. Please double check accreditation of your University or contact us in this regard.
Is the apostille process of my Bachelor’s degree complex?
Is a very straightforward process, your degree must be first certified by the UK Public Official.
From a Legalization perspective, the Officials are solicitors and Notary Public. Once your bachelor’s degree is certified by the Officials who are registered with the Foreign Commonwealth Development Office FCDO the Hague apostille will be issued. The apostille service including certification will take around 2 working days. If embassy legalisation is required the process will take longer
Can I apostille more educational documents along with my degree in the same set?
We can bind the documents together and issue solicitor certification that lists enclosed degrees or diplomas. Please note that not every jurisdiction will accept that format.
United Arab Emirates consulate will reject documents apostilled in this way. All documents for use in MOFA UAE must be certified, apostilled, and legalised separately.
Can I use my solicitor to certify my diploma?
Yes, you can use your own Solicitor or Commissioner of Oath please make sure that they should state if they certify an origin or true copy of the document. They must use their signature, include the date of the certification, and provide the Firm Name and address ( usually they use a company stamp)
Please note that they must also be registered with the legalisation department of the UK Foreign Office FCDO.
